She married a photographer when she was 21, but they divorced a few years later. Since then, the talented actress decided not to marry again.
Born in Minnesota on April 20, 1949, Jessica Phyllis Lange has a rich heritage. His ancestors include German, Dutch and Finnish roots. Growing up, Jessica was part of a family of six, consisting of her two older sisters, Jane and Ann, and her younger brother, George. His father was a teacher and traveling salesman, and his mother was a housewife. The Lange family moved frequently due to his father’s job, constantly moving from one city to another.

In 1967, Jessica received a scholarship to continue her education in art and photography at the University of Minnesota. During this period, she met professional Spanish photographer Paco Grande, whom she married in 1970. After this, Lange decided to leave the university to live a private and free life. Alongside Paco, he embarked on an adventurous tour of the United States and Mexico in the
Bug, fully embracing the nomadic lifestyle.

In ’97 their relationship began to deteriorate. During their stay in the City of Light, Lange developed her love of pantomime theater and entered the fashion industry. Her career deteriorated when she became attracted to Hollywood producer Dino De Laurentiis, which led to her starring role in the 1976 remake of King Kong. She played the
-year-old suffering girl in the movie. Although the film was a success, her performance was criticized, resulting in a struggle to find other acting opportunities for two years.
However, this obstacle turned into a minor obstacle in his professional journey. In 1982, Jessica Lange broke new ground by winning the Academy Awards for Best Actress (Frances) and Best Actress (Tootsie). This extraordinary work had not been done for over forty years. During his illustrious career, he received two Oscars, three Emmys, a Tony Award and five Golden Globes.

Married to photographer Francisco “Paco” Grande from 1970 to 1982, the divorce was finalized in the early 1980s and included alimony. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Lange was in a relationship with famous Latvian ballerina Mikhail Baryshnikov. They gave birth to their first child, Aleksandra Lange “Shura” Baryshnikov, in 1981.
1. Lange began dating playwright Sam Shepard in 1982. Together they adopted two children: Hannah Jane Shepard and Samuel Walker Shepard. Throughout their relationship, they lived in various places such as Virginia, New Mexico, Minnesota, and New York City, until they separated in 2009.
He never married after his divorce.

Jessica Lange and Sam Shepherd have been together for 27 years, but they were never engaged. Jessica said Sam didn’t hold back too much. Fidelity was also an issue for the couple, as both had cheated on their previous spouses. Sam admits that he regrets leaving his wife and child to Jessica. After the birth of her children, she focused on them. He thinks they gave him a new direction in life. “Every decision I make is made by my children. “Being a parent is the best role I’ve ever had,” she said.
Despite his disability, Lange devoted himself to various philanthropic activities. He plays an important role as UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador. Additionally, she demonstrated her commitment to care by taking in a special needs child from Romania in the early 1990s.
