 Ingredients for your culinary adventure:

 For the dough:


1 teaspoon of yeast (3 g)

2 glasses of warm water (400 ml)

5.5 cups  flour (630 g)

1.5 teaspoons salt (7 g)

 For the filling:


2 potatoes

1 teaspoon salt (3 g)

1 teaspoon black pepper (3 g)

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

For greasing the dough:


150 g butter


For topping:


1 egg yolk


 Preparing the dough:

Start the process by activating the yeast in warm water until it dissolves. Gradually add flour and salt and knead until a soft and elastic dough forms. Divide into 8 parts, cover and let rest for 25 minutes.

 Potato filling Preparation:

Boil the potatoes until soft, mash lightly and then mix with cheddar cheese, salt and pepper to create a rich filling.Assemble the dough:

Roll out the dough into thin sheets, cover with butter and freeze briefly so that it becomes firmer. Then roll out again, cut into squares, add the filling and fold into cakes, sealing the edges.

 Bake to perfection:

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Place the cakes on a baking tray, brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

 Ready to serve:
