Southwestern Twist: Green Chili Mac and Cheese Recipe
Give Your Mac and Cheese a Southwestern Twist

Mac and cheese is already comforting and classic, but why not take it one step further? This recipe for Green Chili Mac and Cheese puts a Southwestern twist on this favorite dish and adds the spicy flavor of paprika and veggies. 2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

1. Cooking the pasta:
Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the cheese sauce:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the fried onion, red pepper and garlic to the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Add

3. Assemble and serve:
Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and stir to thoroughly coat the pasta with the cheese mixture.

Tip:
For an even spicier taste, you can use hot green pepper or add a pinch of coriander.
Adjust the spice level to your taste with mild, medium or hot pepper.
