With respect to all our soldiers. We owe them freedom, a debt we can never repay but can easily show our gratitude for; And not just on Memorial Day or Veterans Day, but every day.

This is a unique quote from God Bless America unlike anything you’ve ever heard. Of course, you expect me to say this, but this jewel you will see soon will hit you three times; It will give you goosebumps and is full of arrogance and dynamite energy. This video reminds us why we love and respect our military so much.

When I first heard the name of this singing soldier, I knew from the beginning that he would be special, but I didn’t know he was this special. I think you might see something weird like this happen once or twice in your life. You’ll want to salute this US Marine and shake his hand as he completes his heroic feat. Of course, you too will feel empowered to be proud of our country.

There is a lot of history behind “God Bless America.” It was originally written as a prayer by Irving Berlin. It was 1938 when then-“Cher” Kate Smith brought prayer to life through song. If you don’t know this amazing woman, you should. Kate was known as the First Lady of radio. According to Wiki: “He had a radio, television and recording career that spanned five decades, culminated in the World Cup and his contributions to American culture and patriotism.”

Irving Berlin needs no introduction. It has the same name as the song but has a great history. Originally born “Israel Beilin”. He immigrated from Russia to America with his family when he was only five years old. Before he turned thirty, he wrote hundreds of songs, many of which became big hits.

During his 60-year career, he wrote nearly 1,500 songs, including parts of 20 Broadway plays and 15 Hollywood films, and his songs were nominated for an Academy Award eight times. I think knowing a hardworking and successful American makes “God Bless America” even more special.
