A teenager was killed in a very sad and problematic school bus accident in Panola County.

The Mississippi State Patrol confirmed that the crash occurred around 7:00 pm Wednesday morning when the driver crashed into a South Panola school bus.

The victim has been confirmed as Katelyn Ray and her family.

Ray’s car crashed into the back of a South Panola school bus on Route 15 near Route 6 in Panola County, causing the crash.

It was very sad to see this situation when Ray went to pick up his brother from work. It was a beautiful farewell as Katelyn and her mother Shelia Ray spoke for the last time. It was a simple way to exchange love and affection within the family.

When Shelia Ray described what happened, she expressed surprise at what happened next. When Katelyn’s family tried to talk to her, they were met with an awkward silence that worried them greatly. The agonizing wait ended when the highway patrol delivered the terrible news that Katelyn had been in a serious car accident. Mississippi State Patrol officials said Katelyn Ray’s car crashed into the back of a school bus during the crash.

Due to the incident, the family becomes even more stressed when Katelyn arrives at her sister’s workplace at 7.30 in the morning. The victim’s sister, Courtney Pettit, shared her ongoing concern about Katelyn’s whereabouts during the ordeal.

When Courtney Pettit didn’t know what to do, she turned to social media and wrote a Facebook post asking for information about her missing sister.

A family desperately searching for their loved one received news of a horrific crash on Panola County highways. Katelyn’s aunt, Stephanie Pettit, spoke about how devastated the family was and how hard it was to imagine what happened before the crash.

A proud Aunt, Katelyn took GED classes at the WIN Job Center, which showed how enthusiastic and friendly she was.

The Panola County community is still investigating the missing child and the Mississippi State Patrol is also investigating the crash.

The United Nations mourns the death of Katelyn Ray, who received her driver’s license just two months before the fatal crash.
