Peach Cobbler Recipe

Peach Cobbler Recipe

– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup milk
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 4 cups sliced fresh peaches (or canned peaches, drained)
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. **Prepare the Batter:**
– In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
– Add the milk and melted butter, and stir until well combined to create a batter.

3. **Prepare the Peaches:**
– If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. If using canned peaches, drain them well.
– In a separate bowl, mix the peaches with brown sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly coated.

4. **Assemble the Cobbler:**
– Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
– Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter. Do not stir; the batter will rise around the peaches as it bakes.

5. **Bake:**
– Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.

6. **Serve:**
– Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
– Optionally, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
