1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box: water, oil, and eggs)

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 (15 oz) can coconut cream

1 Package (7 oz) Sweetened Shredded Coconut

1 Container (12 oz) Chocolate Frosting


Optional: additional shredded coconut or almond slices for decoration


Bake the cake: Preheat the oven accordingly According to the instructions for the Cake mix, usually at 350°F (175°C). Mix the chocolate cake and bake according to package instructions in a greased 9×13 inch pan.

Poke and Soak: After baking, while the cake is still warm, poke holes all over the surface. Mix the sweetened condensed milk with the coconut cream and pour over the cake, making sure the mixture seeps through the holes.

Cool and layer: Allow the cake to cool completely.Next, place a layer of sweetened shredded coconut on top of the cake.
