Marinated Cheese in a Jar Recipe

I absolutely make this for every party. Anyone can empty the whole glass!

16 ounces diced mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon diced sun-dried tomatoes
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste

Place the diced cheese in a clean glass jar, leaving some space at the top.
In a bowl, combine olive oil, basil, sun-dried tomatoes, parsley, garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the cheese in the jar, making sure the cheese is completely submerged.Add more olive oil if necessary.
Close the bottle tightly with the lid.
Shake the jar gently to distribute the marinade evenly.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to blend.

This marinated cheese in a jar is not only a crowd favorite, but also a testament to the beauty of Mediterranean flavors. It’s so addictive that it often wears off long before it reaches its three-week shelf life in the fridge. Prepare it for your next meeting and see how it becomes the highlight of your culinary offering.
