  • For the Carne Asada:

or 2 pounds flank steak or skirt

  1. Marinate the steak:

o In a bowl, stir together lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, salt, pepper and cumin to make the marinade.


o Place the steak in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the steak is well covered. For a more intense flavor, marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight.2. Prepare the seasonings:

o While the steak is marinating, prepare the seasonings. Chop the cilantro and onion, slice the avocado and cut the lime into wedges. Put aside.

3.Grill the Steak:

o Preheat your grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and allow the excess to drip off. Grill the steak over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes per side  or until  desired  doneness.

o After grilling, let the steak rest for a few minutes and then cut it into thin strips against the grain.

4.Heat the tortillas: °C. Heat your corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet over medium heat. Keep them warm by wrapping them in a clean cloth or  tortilla warmer.
