– 500g (1 lb) mushrooms, cleaned and halved
– 4 strips of bacon, chopped
– 3 tablespoons butter
– 5 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup chicken broth
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)



1. **Cook Bacon:**
– In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

2. **Cook Mushrooms:**
– Add the butter to the skillet with the bacon grease and melt over medium heat.
– Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

3. **Add Garlic:**
– Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

4. **Make Sauce:**
– Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce the broth by half, about 2-3 minutes.
– Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and dried thyme. Continue to cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.

5. **Combine:**
– Stir the cooked bacon back into the skillet.


6. **Season:**
– Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. **Garnish and Serve:**
– Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
