Apple Almond Cake Recipe

 

 

 

Ingredients:

– 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
– 3 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup (50g) sliced almonds
– Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Instructions:

 

1. **Prepare the Batter:**
– In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
– Gradually add the oil while continuing to mix.
– Stir in the vanilla extract.

2. **Combine Dry Ingredients:**
– In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
– Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined and smooth.

3. **Prepare the Cake:**
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
– Line a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
– Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

4. **Add Apples and Almonds:**
– Evenly distribute the diced apples over the top of the batter.
– Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the apples.

5. **Bake the Cake:**
– Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
– Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

– Once the cake is completely cooled, dust it with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
