Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

 

* Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons garlic (chopped)
2 tablespoons ginger (chopped)
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1 /2 cups low-fat soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons corn flakes
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions:

Add chicken breasts slowly and cook. .
In a small bowl, combine garlic, ginger, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and vinegar.
Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken.
Close the lid and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-7 hours.
Remove chicken from slow cooker and stir together.
Pour the teriyaki sauce from the slow cooker through a strainer into the pan.
Place the pan on the stove over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until dissolved.
Pour the corn into the pan and bring to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Pour the sauce over the shredded chicken and stir to coat the chicken. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions and serve.
