Slow Cooked Beef Brisket Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons olive oil, browned
4 kilos ground beef
2 teaspoons sea salt or to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 kilo yellow onions (2 medium), thinly sliced ​​
1 pounds raw mushrooms
6 cloves peeled and minced garlic (not crushed)
2 cups low-sodium chicken or beef broth
2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
1. Season the brisket as normal with 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon Season with salt. teaspoon of pepper. Heat a large frying pan or griddle over high heat. Add 1,
tablespoons of oil and, when hot, add the breast meat (fat side down). Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until browned on both sides. Transfer to the slow cooker, fat side up.
2. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and chopped onions to the same pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the onions are caramelized. Place the onion on the pan. In the same pan, add more oil if necessary and fry the mushrooms until soft (5 minutes).
3. Place the mushrooms in the slow cooker and pour over the chopped garlic.
4. Combine 2 cups chicken broth with 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and pour mixture over meat.
5. Cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours or until tender and easily pulled apart with a fork.
6. Turn off the slow cooker and let it rest with the lid closed for 15 minutes. Drain and remove excess oil from the surface. Remove the beef along with its juices and keep it in the slow cooker to release the juices, which will add great flavor and juiciness to the meat.
