Ingredients:

Large mixing bowl
Whisk

In a large bowl Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Sifting not only combines the ingredients but also turns them into a smooth cake.
In another bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract, if using.
