Portions: 8-10

 ingredients:

2 cups of grated Monterey jack cheese

2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1 cup of all purpose

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1/2 cup melted butter

1 cup milk

2 cans (4 ounces each) diced green chiles, drained

First, preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish a.

Beat the eggs in a large bowl until frothy to form a loose base for the squares.

Mix  Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses with  eggs until well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt and then add this dry mixture to the  egg and cheese mixture to get the fluffy consistency.Add the melted butter and milk until the mixture is moist and a smooth dough forms.

Gently fold in the green chillies to ensure even distribution across all squares.

Pour  the dough evenly into the prepared form and spread it out, smoothing the surface.

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until golden brown and firm, reminiscent of the beauty of a sunset.
