  • Flour 1 cup; A mixture of regular flour and acorn flour works well
  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turbinado or brown sugar 1/4 cup
  • Melted butter 1/4 cup
  • Darker honey 1/3 cup; other types of honey also work
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts or walnuts 1/3 cup


  1. Begin by preheating the oven to 350°F and well-greasing a baking sheet.Next, take a large bowl and mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar. In a separate bowl, stir together the melted butter, honey and vanilla extract. If your honey needs a boost to become liquid, simply heat it over low heat and then add  butter and vanilla. Once the liquid is liquid, combine these wet ingredients with the dry and stir until almost smooth.
