Whole chicken thighs (with skin and bones for maximum flavor)

1 pound baby russet potatoes , for a savory touch

1 16-ounce bag  baby carrots, for a touch of sweetness

1 pound  green beans, cleaned and trimmed, for that crunchy finish

1/2 cup honey, for  natural sweetness

1/2 cup soy sauce, for depth and umami

1 tablespoon lemon juice, for  bright acidity

4 garlic cloves, minced, for  essential note

1 teaspoon dried basil, for herbal notes

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, for heating

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, for one mild note

1/2 teaspoon pepper, for seasoning

 Instructions:

Start by mixing honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic and  spices in a bowl to create an aromatic sauce.

In a 6-quart slow cooker, place 4 chicken thighs on the bottom and drizzle half  the sauce over them.

Next, layer the small red potatoes and baby carrots and place the remaining chicken thighs on top. Pour the rest of the sauce over everything, making sure each piece is well coated.Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 8 hours or  high for 4 hours, depending on your schedule.

About 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the green beans to the pot and cook until they are completely tender but still crispy.

To serve, place the chicken and vegetables on a plate and pour over some of the delicious pan juices  for  extra  flavor.
