Homemade Bacon and Cheese Quiche

 Ingredients:

9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

8 slices  chopped bacon

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

 Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Preparing the oven  is essential for  perfect baking.

Place the pie dough in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges to give it a homemade feel, whether  store-bought or homemade.

Fry chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until perfectly crispy.Then transfer it to a plate lined with paper towels to remove  excess oil.

Place half of the grated cheese on the cake base to create a cozy base. Top it with the crispy bacon and set the stage for what’s to come.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs,  cream, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg. This blend promises a dish that is as comforting as a warm hug.Gently pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese, covering  like a blanket.

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and add parsley for a touch of green reminiscent of the first signs of spring.
