Cinnamon Toast

 

Cinnamon Toast is a classic and easy childhood favorite from years ago! It makes a great breakfast or lunch.

Ingredients

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
1/4 cup refined sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 slices white sandwich bread
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 100°C. Heat to . °C Position the oven rack 6 inches from the grill.
In a small bowl, use the butter, sugar, cinnamon and salt, add the vanilla until fully incorporated and make a paste.
Divide the mixture equally into portions and spread on one side, leaving the top side to the sides. (It seems like a lot, but trust me!)
Place the small pieces of bread on the baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.
Then turn the grill to the highest setting and cook the toast until golden brown and the sugar is bubbling, about 1-2 minutes.

Use different types of bread. You can use whole wheat bread or brioche bread instead of white bread. Everything is delicious! Try
Brown Sugar. Try replacing granulated sugar with brown sugar (or a combination of both) and you’ll be fine. But don’t skip the sugar.
